We can sit for talks if govt is flexible: SP

Lumbini (Rupandehi), Sept 4

Chairman of the Sadbhawana Party Rajendra Mahato, said today they could sit for talks with the government if the latter shows flexibility.

Chairman Mahato said the government should create favorable environment for talks, saying they would not sit for talks in the status quo.

At a press meeting organized by the Sadbhawana Party in Bhairahawa today, he said there was no possibility of them sitting for talks unless the government withdraws army personnel from the riot-hit districts.

Mahato demanded that the government declare those killed in recent protests as martyrs. He also demanded that the major parties should stop the constitution writing process and investigate the killings. He said they were compelled to launch agitation as the major political parties ignored their concerns.
