We will find Nirmala's killers at any cost: Home Minister Thapa

DHANGADHI: Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa has expressed the determination to find and bring to book the murderer(s) of 13-year-old Nirmala Panta, who was mercilessly raped and killed in Kanchanpur district.

Talking to journalists here today, he said, "We will book the culprits as soon as possible." The Home Minister said that investigations into the case were underway and complications in the investigation occurred due to some lapses in the initial phase.

In the same programme, Minister Thapa also spoke about how the government was working to systematise the transportation sector by introducing the required laws and breaking the monopoly.

Referring to Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led Communist Party of Nepal, he expressed his concerns about the recent explosion outside Ncell head office in Kathmandu and said that the government was serious regarding such incidents and will take action to control them.

The Home Minister also stated that final preparations have been going on in the federal parliament for formulating laws related to the federal police and state police.

Minister Thapa arrived in Dhangadhi today to participate in the security seminar.
