Weather to remain cloudy for three more days across country

KATHMANDU: Weather will likely be partly to generally cloudy for three more days, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said.

Meteorologist Bibhuti Poudel said this is an influence of low pressure system that has developed in the south eastern Arabian Sea and the low pressure trough developed over eastern Bihar in India.

"However, there is no immediate possibility of heavy rainfall taking place due to the absence of significant weather system at present," he said.

The maximum daytime temperature will decrease as weather will be cloudy during these days.

The weather today is partly cloudy in hilly areas while Tarai is covered by dense fog. Province 1, Sudurpaschim Province, Karnali Province and Gandaki Province will remain cloudy while remaining parts will have comparetively better weather.

There are chances of light snowfall in few places of high mountainous areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces towards the afternoon.

Meteorological Forecasting Division in its latest weather bulletin shared that Kathmandu's minimum temperature was 5.3 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature was 18.2 degrees Celsius today.

Similarly, Jomsom recorded the lowest minimum temperature of minus two degrees Celsius today. And Dharan recorded the highest minimum temperature of 12.5 degrees Celsius.
