ITAHARI: A person died after a motorcycle he was riding on collided with a bus carrying wedding procession in Itahari of Sunsari district on Sunday night.

It is yet to establish the identification of the deceased who appeared to be in his mid-30s.

The incident occurred after the bus (Ko 1 Kha 4084) en route to Itahari from Dhankuta collided head-on with the motorcycle (Ko 2 Pa 6514) at Tarahara, killing the rider on the spot yesterday, according to the Tarahara-based Police Post.

Meanwhile, Police have impounded the bus and detained its driver Kabindra Limbu (32) of Budhimorang in Dhankuta district for further investigation.
