Windstorm hits Kailali again

KATHMANDU: The locals of Kailali in western Nepal, who have been struggling to get back to their normal lives, were again hit by a windstorm this morning.

According to the local reporter for THT, Tekendra Deuba, the windstorm that brought rain along with it drenched the victims who were living in the open as their houses were damaged from last week's massive windstorm.

Bibhuti Pokharel, a meteorologist at the Meteorological Forecasting Division, shared that the windstorm occurred at around 6:30 to 7:00 in the morning. She further said the weather there would be cloudy for the next two days.

Meteorological Forecasting Division in its tweet mentioned that the windstorm was an effect of the air moisture formed in the west.

Meanwhile, Indian Meteorological Department has also released a statement that Storm Vayu, a cyclone formed in the Arabian Sea, is expected to hit Gujarat, on Thursday morning.
