BAGLUNG: A woman was killed after a mound of earth collapsed upon her in Nishikhola Rural Municipality-2 of Baglung district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Buma Kunwar of Kanlechaur.

The incident took place while digging out ochre soil for plastering the house at Ratmata in the afternoon.

Another woman, 28-year-old Kaushila Karki, who was also digging out the soil with Kunwar, was injured in the incident. Kunwar is being treated at the local health post, police said.

Locals had rescued her after knowing about the incident.
