Taplejung, July 26:

Eighty-year-old Bhojraj Limbu of Sanghu village development committee Ward No9 in Taplejung district died after his insane daughter thrashed him with a bamboo stick yesterday.

According to the Taplejung District Police Office, Nanda Kumari Limbu, 35, thrashed her father repeatedly on his head with a bamboo stick.

Police and locals recovered the body of Bhojraj from a jungle yesterday afternoon.

Inspector at the Taplejung District Police Office Dipak Pokhrel said the body of Limbu was taken to district headquarters for post-mortem.

According to Pokhrel, Nanda Kumari has been arrested.
