Tansen, July 24:

Police today arrested 24-year-old Danu Ale of Bharkes in Bharavsthan of Palpa on the charge of killing her son Anjan.

Ale lived with her husband and son in a rented room in Tansen.

“When I came home today, I saw Danu disposing bloodied water down

the sewage and I informed the police,” landlord Jyan Bahadur Rawal’s daughter-in-law said.

Police inspector at the Palpa district police office, Punya Prasad Sharma, said the neighbours and police, upon entering her rented room, found the boy’s body in pieces and Danu was taking out an intestine from the stomach.

Danu’s husband Gyan Bahadur claimed that her wife was “fine.” “She loved our son very much. There was no problem at all,”

he said. Gyan Bahadur said he left the room with his wife and son together at 09:30 am today. Police inspector Sharma said Danu has been arrested.
