BARDIYA: Police said that they took a 38-year-old woman under control on charge of arson from the district.

Parbati Godiya, who hails from Tepara at Gulariya Municipality-4, had allegedly set a jeep (Ba 16 Cha 3244) on fire on Monday night.

The vehicle belonging to Binod Kumar Pandit was parked in front of his house when it was set ablaze, said SP Bharat Bahadur Bohara of Bardiya District Police Office.

Police said they discovered a burned bottle from the suspect's house.

We are looking into the case, informed Bohara.

The fire was doused after around 20 minutes.   Some parts of the vehicle were damaged in the incident.
