Women representatives to play significant role in implementing gained achievements

TULASIPUR, DANG: Women representatives of Province 5 have stressed that they would play significant role in implementation of gained achievements and constitutionally ensured rights, and in execution of fair justice.

They said so at a programme jointly organised by Dang chapter of Sancharika Samuha and Group of Active Women Journalists here today where 12 women representatives from 12 districts of the province were present.

They also drew the attention of concerned bodies to facilitate smooth execution of work by formulating clear working procedure at the earliest, as they have been facing problems in absence of such procedure.

On the occasion, Deputy Mayor of Tulasipur Sub-Metropolitan City, Maya Acharya, said that the new constitution has ensured opportunity to women in political leadership along with rights, which they should fully utilise.

Deputy Mayor of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City, Sita Neupane, said that it was necessary to remove the existing inequality between men and women, adding that although the constitution has ensured rights to women, there are many challenges in the implementation phase.

Likewise, saying that there are numerous challenges in work execution due to lack of coordination between Mayor and Deputy Mayor, Deputy Mayor of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, Uma Thapa, said that lack of rules and regulations is also the reason behind problems in work execution.
