Work on building ‘action room’ at PM’s Office begins

Work on setting up an ‘action room’ at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has started.

The room will enable the prime minister to monitor national pride projects across the country and establish contact with chief ministers, if required. Spokesperson for the OPMCM BinodBahadurKunwar said they had begun work on setting up he action room at PM’s office so that he could talk to chief ministers and monitor  national pride projects.

The room will be well-equipped for video conferencing other online meetings. Sashtrata Network Solution has got the responsibility for the task. Once the room comes into operation chief ministers will  not have to visit Kathmandu for minor meetings with the PM. A 55-inch television, three tele-present camera and speaker, microphone and data transfer code would be installed in the action room.

For online monitoring of the projects, IP cameras would be installed at pride project sites. Melamchi Drinking Water Project, Upper Tamakoshi Project, Gautam Buddha International Airport, Bheri-Babai Diversion, RastrapatiChureBhawar Conservation, Sikta Irrigation Project, Rani-Jamara Irrigation Project, Pokhara Regional International Airport, Mid-Hilly Pushpalal Highway, Postal Highway and Kathmandu-Tarai Fast Track projects will be monitored from the PM’’s office.
