GAIGHAT: A worker died after drowning in the Sunkoshi River on Thursday evening.

Narayan Thapa, staff at Gaighat-Diktel Road Project, identified the deceased as Imansingh Rai,55.

An eyewitness Kedar Magar said that Rai, who was under the influence of alcohol, fell into the river while working on construction of a bridge.
