BAGLUNG: Writer Shiva Kumar Pradhan passed away at his residence in Baglung district last night. He was 83.
He was an expert of Nepali, Sanskrit and English languages. He also has over two dozens of books in three languages in his name.
Pradhan had translated the ‘Meghaduta’, the creation of Kalidasa, who is revered as one of the greatest Sanskrit poets, into the Nepali language.
Pradhan was the founding chair of Baglung Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
His last rites were conducted at Niraya Ghat on the bank of Kaligandaki River.
He is survived by his three wives, four daughters and seven sons.
