Yadav plays on third Madhes stir threat

BANKE: Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum chairman Upendra Yadav has warned that the third Madhes agitation would be launched soon. Yadav warned saying that the agreement signed between the government and the Joint Madhesi Morcha was yet to be implemented.

Addressing a regional mass gathering at Nepalgunj, Yadav said that there was no alternative but protest as earlier agreements were not implemented.

Yadav also claimed that the delay in implementing the agreement was a conspiracy on the republic and federalism. He also argued that the government’s negligence in forming the State Restructuring Commission was a conspiracy. Claiming that dishonour against the Vice-President was a dishonour of the Madhesi people, Yadav said that the government should apologise for that,

Meanwhile, MJF deputy chairman Jaya Prakash Gupta said that the Maoists were trying to divide the Madhes. He accused that the major political parties were not serious about issues of Madhes. He termed the coalition government a chaotic mob and said that the government would not draft the statute. If it was drafted it would just maintain the status quo, he added.
