Yarsagumba collector killed in Bajhang avalanche

BHIMDUTTANAGAR: A yarsagumba picker was killed in an avalanche in Bajhang district on Monday.

The Far-West Regional Police Office said that Bir Singh Lothyal of Ghusa in Darchula district was buried in the avalanche at Saipal region of Kada VDC-7 in Bajhang district.

Lothyal had gone there for collecting yarsagumba–a unique caterpillar-fungus– also called Himalayan Viagra owing to its its aphrodisiac properties.
