KATHMANDU: Police on Wednesday reportedly arrested a person on the charge of rape from Kohalpur Municipality-12 of Banke district.

Manbir Pariyar of Nibuwa was arrested on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl. According to police, accused Pariyar took the girl to his residence by enticing her with the idea of marriage and raped her.

After receiving the report of rape, Kohalpur-based Area Police Office deployed a team of police and arrested Pariyar.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the case.
