KATHMANDU: A youth died on the spot after being struck by a tractor in Babai Rural Municipality-7 of Dang district on Thursday night, police said.

The deceased has been identified as the Manbir Rana (16) of Charak Matiya of the Rural Municipality.

The incident occurred when the tractor (Ra 1 Ta 2246) hit pedestrian Rana near Babai River at 9:30 pm yesterday, killing him, informed the Khilatpur-based Area Police Office.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway and search is on for the absconding tractor driver, said police.
