Pokhara, July 28:

Caders of the CPN-UML-affiliated Youth Force caught Tika Ram Poudel, proprietor of Srijanachowk-based William Traders, yesterday for fleecing people by selling petroleum products at hefty prices.

After nabbing Poudel, Youth Force handed Poudel over to the police.

Youth Force alleged Poudel had been selling per litre of diesel and a litre of petrol for Rs 120 and Rs 200, respectively.

“Eighteen containers of diesel, each having a capacity of 35 litre, were seized from the shop,” Kaski chairman of Youth Force, Darshan Lama, said.

“We arrested Poudel after consumers informed us about this.”

“Poudel told us that he had brought fuel from Kakarvitta of Jhapa district for domestic use,” Superintendent of Police at the Kaski District Police Office, Ramesh Bhattarai, said.
