Zero in on statute drafting now, says Nembang

POKHARA: Chairman of Constituent Assembly (CA) Subash Chandra Nembang urged the leaders of political parties not to forget their duties but to brace for the precarious journey of the constitution drafting and peace process.

Hinting at the rumours making rounds about “some leaders' conspiracy to scrap the CA”, Nembang advised the leaders to to be prepared first to face the danger resulted due to the dismissal of the CA.

The CA chair, however, underscored the need of cooperation and consensus among all the political parties for institutionalisation of the political achievements.

He was speaking at a programme organised to honour Madhab Sharma, who was awarded with this year's Press Chautari Journalism Award.

“The parties should now zero in on drafting the new constitution putting their petty interests and other issues on the back burner,” he said.
