DHARAN: The 19 doctors, who had resigned from their posts at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) four days ago, withdrew their resignation on Tuesday. Dr Tejendra Karki said that they withdrew their resignation after the hospital administration agreed to fulfil their demands during a meeting, which was held on Tuesday. The aggrieved had put forth a four-point demand. Hike in pay and perquisites, security and job guarantee at the work place were their primary demands. They had also warned of leaving the hospital en masse. As per the agreement, the hospital administration will address their demands immediately. All these doctors are working on a contract basis. The (BPKIHS) is one of the leading hospitals in the east.
