KATHMANDU: Defence Minister Bidhya Devi Bhandari will leave for India for a health check up on Wednesday.
According to sources, DM is also scheduled to participate the funeral ceremony of late Indian Communist leader Jyoti Basu today. Though she was not slated for any high-level political
meetings during her stay in India, her visit is seen as significant following her controversial remarks on the PLA fighters’ integration into the Nepal Army. She is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on January 31.
