CHITWAN: Nepali Congress leader Dr Ram Sharan Mahat on Friday said that there is no dispute among the party leaders regarding the party leadership.
Talking to journalists in Narayangarh this morning, Dr. Mahat said, “There is no dispute over the party leadership but the issue was unnecessarily dragged into controversy by the media.”
“Political vacuum has occurred in the country after the demise of party president and former prime minister the late Girija Prasad Koirala,” Dr Mahat said, adding that there is no alternative to unity among the parties to resolve the crisis in the country.
The former finance minister said that the national economy is facing a crisis due to the political instability and shortage of energy in the country.
Stating that problems arose in the army integration process due to the outdated ways of the UNMIN, Dr Mahat called on UNMIN to change its mandate.
