KATHMANDU: The preliminary rounds of Horlicks Genius Nepal 2009, a national level quiz contest, organised by Horlicks in association with Kathmandu University High School, is going to be held on November 1.
The contest had invited participation from schools across Nepal and each school can send in two, two-member teams. This contest is an opportunity for students from different schools all over the country to showcase their knowledge on a range of subjects like Geography, History, Sports, Current Affairs and General Knowledge.
The preliminary rounds will be held at 16 centres across Nepal, which include Biratnagar, Birendranagar, Birgunj, Birtamode, Butwal, Chitwan, Dang, Dharan, Hetauda, Janakpur, Kathamandu, Kavre, Mahendranagar, Nepalgunj, Lalitpur and Pokhara. Students can register themselves till 10:00 am at the respective centres on November 1. The contest will begin at 11:00 am.
The 16 best teams, one from each centre, will qualify for the semi-finals to be held in Kathmandu. Four semi-final rounds will be held with four teams participating in each.
The teams that score the highest in each semi-final round will move up on to the finals and vie for title of ‘Horlicks Genius Nepal 2009’.
