KATHMANDU: The central committee meeting of the main opposition party UCPN-Maoist decided to postpone its general convention by a year in addition to finalising chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's political document at its headquarters in Paris Danda, Koteshwor on Monday.
According to the sources, the meeting focused on discussing the political situation and the party's upcoming general convention. The meeting decided to hold its general convention in January 29, 2011 due to the party's agitation. The Maoists are in the third phase of agitation which began from November 22 in order to restore civilian supremacy and correct the move of President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on the then Army Chief Rookmangud Katawal.
