KATHMANDU: The lawyers across the country on Saturday casted their votes to elect a new leadership of the Nepal Bar Association, an umbrella organisation of lawyers.

According to election commissioner, advocate Ravi Raj Bhandari, voting begun from 9 am and closed at 4 pm in 33 polling centres across the country. Three major panels -- democratic, progressive and revolutionary -- are contesting the election for the posts of a chairman, five vice chairmen, a general secretary and nine members.
