KATHMANDU: Jordan shattered the hopes of Nepal to qualify for the AFC-19 Championship on Sunday by defeating it 3-2 during a match in the Dasharath Stadium in the capital. The two goals from Nirajan Malla and Shiva Shrestha were not enough to qualify Nepal. Jordan has amassed 10 points from four matches which ensured it the first position in the points chart. Jordan is followed by Tajikistan, 9 points, and Yemen, 8 points in the points chart. Nepal will play against Palestine on Wednesday but has no hope of the top three berths even if it wins the game. Meanwhile, Tajikistan was defeated by Yemen 3-0 in another match.
