KATHMANDU: Following the sudden demise of former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, the party has put off all electoral programmes related to 13th general convention until further notice.
Koirala died of cardiac arrest in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. He was 76. Koirala, who had announced his candidacy for the Nepali Congress top leadership in the upcoming general convention, breathed his last at Shashanka Koirala’s residence, where he had been staying after leaving Baluwatar in last October. He served as Nepal’s 37th Prime Minister from February 2014 to October 2014. The new constitution was promulgated during his premiership from the elected Constituent Assembly. The party has scheduled to hold the gala from March 3 to 6 in the Capital. READ ALSO:
