KATHMANDU: The National Human Rights Commission on Sunday urged stern action against the police personnel who were involved in the gang rape of a female colleague in District Police Office, Accham. NHRC in its report on Sunday said that six male police personnel raped a female colleague after sedating her with drugs. Assistant sub inspector Dan Singh Bhandari, head constables Birendra Bam, Biradutta Badu and Karbir Thalal and constables Narivan Mahatara and Jagadish Pandeya were involved in the incident, said NHRC. NHRC has sought the government’s response to ensure the security of female police personnel.
