KAVRE: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal tried to lobby the main opposition party UCPN-Maoist to call off its protest programmes which are beginning from Sunday. Addressing a programme in Kavre, the PM on Sunday said there was no significance of the protests in the present context when the nation was awaiting a new constitution. He said that the government had left the door open for UCPN-Maoist to hold talks. He revealed that he was scheduled to meet NC president Girija Prasad Koirala and UCPN-Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal very soon.
