KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bhim Bahadur Rawal said on Thursday that the government has introduced the Special Security Plan (SSP) to maintain the law and order situation in the country. He was speaking at a programme of the 54th Nepal Police Day at its headquarters in Naxal, Kathmandu.
Explaining about the SSP, the Minister said that it has been implemented to save the country from violence and insurgency. He also acknowledged the sacrifices made by the martyrs from the police personnel during the insurgency.
He clarified that the SSP is not aimed at any group, class and region, and is intended for drafting the new constitution in the given time frame and taking the peace process to its logical end.
