KATHMANDU: The meeting of the main opposition party UCPN-Maoist decided to end the present political deadlock through dialogue with other political parties on Wednesday.

The Maoists formed a team which comprises its vice chairmen Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Narayan Kaji Shrestha, politburo members Netra Bikram Chanda and Dev Gurung, and secretary Post Bahadur Bogati to hold talks with the main political parties.

Likewise, the ruling party CPN-UML conducted a meeting at the residence of its chairman Jhala Nath Khanal's residence in Dallu, Kathmandu.

According to Yuvaraj Gyawali, secretary of UML they are approaching consensus. He informed that the Maoist proposals are positive. He also said that the meeting between the UML and the Nepali Congress is slated for the afternoon.

Likewise, the tripartite meeting is scheduled for tomorrow.
