ITAHARI: As many as five persons were killed and another 57 injured when a passenger bus en route to Bhadrapur from Janakpur met with an accident along the Bhantabari-Koshi section of the East-West Highway Saturday morning.

The police are trying to establish the identities of the deceased. Those seriously injured have been rushed to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan, Koshi Zonal Hospital, Biratnagar and District Hospital, Inaruwa.
