AG Vaidya goes on leave, to resign

KATHMANDU: Attorney General Raghav Lal Vaidya today went on leave citing the new political scenario after the resignation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. He was appointed by PM Dahal after the Maoist-led government was formed. “I will resign after the formation of the new government,” a senior official of the Office of Attorney General (OAG) told THT Online quoting Vaidya. Vaidya also delegated all his constitutional power to Deputy Attorney General Pushpa Raj Koirala to be exercised as per the Article 135(6) of the Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2007.
