It’s possible
There is a trend for the best Nepalese talents to look for greener pasture abroad. One can
hardly them. There are many Nepalese scientists working in foreign countries, and some of them have been making important contributions. There are many qualified scientists in the country, but only a few of them are conducting researches of much significance. They are hardly recognized although their works may be of great scientific value. These
scientists are capable of carving their own niche. As said by Dr. Klaus von Klittzing, a German Nobel laureate, we cannot rule out Nepalese scientists from working a Nobel Prize. As a matter of fact, he was very much optimistic about this.
The country needs our scientists, so it behoves on the government to initiate moves to bring Nepalese scientists abroad back home. The idea being that they could conduct researches so as to accelerate the pace of development in which science and technology has a crucial role to play. Serious thoughts should be given to honouring the scientists and also providing them with incentives so that they could serve their homeland. And, it requires hefty investment too.
