To panic is human


A few months back during my exams I was suffering from

severe breathing problems. When I consulted the doctor, he told me that this was an anxiety attack, and health-wise there was no problem. Getting panic attacks at the thought of looming exams perhaps have been experienced by all of us. Unsolved equations, formula and jumbled-up literature can trigger the panic button.

About 5 percent of the population will experience panic attacks during their lifetime. Panic attacks are frightening but fortunately physically harmless episodes. They can occur at random or after a person is exposed to various events that may “ trigger” it.

They peak in intensity very rapidly and go away with or without medical help. People experiencing

panic attacks may fear they are dying, that they are suffocating or that they are having a heart attack. They may voice fear that they are “going crazy” and seek to remove themselves from whatever situation they may be in. Although panic attacks were once dismissed as nerves or stress, they are now recognized as a potentially disabling but treatable condition.

Panic is one of the most crippling psychological disorders of our time. It dominates a sufferer’s thoughts, saps motivation, sidelines life’s purpose and derails their social life. Panic is a disorder of perception. Shaking, sweating, chest pain, shortness of breath, feeling that you are choking, nausea, cramping, tingling or numbness and feeling chills or hot flashes are some of its signs. It usually appears during teens or early adulthood.

Nature has created humans with a touch of humor. It has given people lots of problems and then easy solutions also. Panic attacks act like a trigger of changing lifestyle. While walking straight we get bored. Then problems are created to rejuvenate our vigor to work and live a healthy life. So, start viewing panic attack as a challenge that will make you a much better person and very successful in life. Use the power of panic attack to achieve success in life.
