Kathmandu, January 22:

Mehboob Alam and Shakti Gauchan steered Nil David to the semi-finals with the 43-run victory over New Vision Club in the Twenty20 Open Knockout Cricket Tournament here today.

Gauchan scored 45-ball 54 to help Nil David score 143 in 20 overs. Alam and Sunil Bista made 23 runs each. Ranjeet Bhattarai claimed two while Ram Chaudhary and Karun Ojha bagged one wicket each for New Vision.

New Vision made 100-9 in reply. Deepak Chhetri scored 31 for New Vision. Alam returned with 4-16 for Nil David. Sanjam Regmi and Sandesh Katuwal claimed two wickets each.

CCRC, DAV win

KATHMANDU: CCRC registered a thumping 139-run win over New Summit and DAV College defeated Bagmati College by seven wickets in the National Campus Twenty20 Inter-college Cricket Tournament here today.

Batting first, CCRC made a mammoth 222-5 and restricted New Summit for 83-8. Shovakant Pandey fell one run short of half century in his 29-ball innings. Suraj Timalsina scored a fiery 18-ball 41. Rupesh Shrivastav took 4-19 and man of the match Suraj Timalsina claimed 2-08 for CCRC.

In another match, Bagmati College were all out for 95 and DAV chased the total losing three wickets in 13.5 overs.
