ANFA to hold elective AGM next year

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Executive Committee meeting today decided to hold the elective general assembly on March 28 next year.

The football governing body had announced the elections for January 25 before postponing citing federal and provincial elections in the country. The meeting also finalised the election code of conduct and also decided to hold the elections of district FAs between December 20 to January 19.

According to the ANFA, the decisions were reached after getting consent from the FIFA and AFC. Decision over formulating code of conduct for the elections of different committees, including football players, coaches, referees and women was also taken.

Similarly, ANFA decided to organise A, B and C division leagues, upgrade the ANFA technical centres, and provide required football kits for grass-root programmes in all 45 district associations as well as buy fully-equipped ambulance. The meeting also decided to give special priority in the development of the sport in Mid-west and Far-west regions by providing special packages to conduct grassroots level programmes.
