KATHMANDU: Ang Tshiring Sherpa won the title of the Farewell Golf Tournament here at the Gokarna Golf Club on Saturday.

Played under stableford 3/4 handicap format, the six-handicap amateur Sherpa accumulated 38 points to finish first.

Lt Col Dipankar Rajaram of Indian Embassy came second with 36 points. Wanchen Dhondup won the gross section trophy with 32 points, while Harish K Gorsia bagged the senior section award with 30 points.

Sonam Norbu Lama won the closest-to-the-pin award, while SSP Rajendra Shrestha bagged the longest drive trophy.

In all, 36 players took part in the tournament organised to bid farewell to the Defense Attache at Embassy of India Col Man Raj Singh Mann. Col Mann, President of Gokarna Golf Club Suhrid Ghimire and Captain Joseph Nathan handed over the prizes to the winners.
