Hetauda, July 11:

Armed Police Force (APF) Team registered an easy 3-0 win over Rupandehi-XI in the Martyrs Memorial National Football Tournament here today.

Prakash Karki struck twice and Chandra Rana added the other goal. Karki broke the deadlock late in the 71st minute and added his second in the 82nd minute. Three minutes later Rana sealed their victory scoring third goal for the departmental team.

President of Makawanpur District Sports Development Committee and coordinator of the tournament organising committee Hari Bahadur Mahat gave away the man of the match award to Armed police striker Karki.

Rupandehi-XI became the third team outside the Kathmandu Valley to crash out of the tournament. Makawanpur-XI and Sahara Club of Pokhara were the other two teams to bow out in the first two-days of the tournament. Lalitpur-based teams Nabil Three Star Club will take on Samsung Jawalakhel Youth Club on Thursday.
