KATHMANDU: The first match of the nine-a-side cricket series between the girl’s teams of Api School and DAV School ended in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

In the 12-over-a-side match, DAV defeated Api by 14 runs. Batting first, DAV scored 148-8 in 11.4 overs riding on Ritika Sharma’s 48 runs.

In reply, Nikita Yamada scored an unbeaten 68 off 41 balls but Api managed only 134-2 in allotted overs.

However, Api bounced back to defeat DAV by four wickets in the second match.

Batting first, DAV scored 76-8 in 10 overs with Sudeshna Singh scoring 35 runs.

In reply, Api scored 77-4 in 8.5 overs.
