KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Himalayan Hounds 71-50 in the Kwik’s Basketball League here on Monday.

The league leader TAC, who registered their fifth straight victory, won the first two quarters 22-11 and 22-4 to open up a 29-point lead going into the break.

The Hounds won the next two quarters 16-11 and 19-16 but that was not enough for them to avert the defeat. Ayush Singh top scored for TAC with 15 points, while Rabin Khatri and Binod Maharjan netted 12 points each.

Saurav Shrestha scored 18 and Rajendra Thahunna netted 15 for the Hounds.

TAC are at the top of the table with 15 points from five matches.

On Tuesday, Bishal Milan Kendra will host Golden Gate, while the Hounds will travel to Xavier International College.
