LALITPUR: Olympic Council of Asia, under the aegis of Nepal Olympic Committee, organised the Asian Games Fun Run here on Tuesday.

National and international players along with officials from various sports associations took part in the run organised to promote the 18th Asian Games to be held in Indonesia from August 18 to September 2.

The race kicked off from NOC building and went through Lagankhel, Jawalakhel, Pulchowk and Sundhara before concluding on the NOC premises.

Earlier, NOC President Jeevan Ram Shrestha handed over Olympic Torch to Olympian Deepak Bista, while National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista blew the whistle to start the 6km run.

OCA Media Manager Jeans Zhou Jian, OCA President Ahmed Al-Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah’s Secretary Wissam Trkmani and 18th Asian Games Organising Committee’s Media and Public Relations Vice-director Ratna Irsana also took part in the event.
