On the second day of the third Birthday Badminton Tournament organised by Himalayan Badminton Club, Balaram Thapa of Armed Police Force (APF) defeated Bikash Shahi of Banke 15-2, 15-2 and Prafulla Baidya of Mahendra Police Club defeated Rakam Limbu of Dharan to advance to the third round in Men‘s singles. Winners in the women’s singles matches included Saradevi Tamang of MPC, who defeated Sunita Limbu of Dharan 11-4, 11-1 and APF’s Samjhana Khaling, who outplayed Saraswati Shakya 11-5, 11-7.

In the junior singles section matches, Balaram Shahi of Parsa earned a walkover and Rakam Limbu of Dharan beat Saurabh KC of Kaski 15-3, 15-6. Similarly, in the veteransce doubles category, Dilman and Suresh Gurung defeated YB Ghale and Suresh 15-4, 15-4 and Mahesh Shrestha and Kumar Pradhan of Kaski beat Rabi Shrestha and Ganesh Thapa 15-4, 15-12.

In the mixed doubles category, Ram Singh Chaudhari and Sarita Dewan, the duo of Bhairav Shrestha and Sara Devi, and Balaram Thapa and Puja Shrestha advanced to the third round.
