Baluwatar win series 2-1
Kathmandu, September 9:
Baluwatar Cricket Academy (BAC) defeated All India Twenty20 Cricket Federation by 21 runs in the third match and won the friendly Twenty20 Cup series 2-1. Put into bat, BCA scored 123/8, riding on Abhay Rana’s 44. Rana hit four fours and a six in his 29-ball innings. Opener Dipen Shrestha scored 21 including a four and a six.
For the Indian side, Ajay Singh took three wickets and Mohit Chaturvedi and Samrat Singh pocketed two each. In reply, the visitors failed to overcome the target and scored 102/8. Hitanshu Bhardwaj scored 21 off 29 balls, Samrat Singh made 20 and Ajay Singh contributed 11. For Baluwatar, Rikesh Lama took two wickets, while Abhay, Deepak Chhetry, Radhe Shyam Mishra and Sharad Vesawkar got one each. Abhay Rana was adjudged the man of the match and the series. President of BCA Upendra Bhattarai and president of Nepal Sports Journalists Forum Niranjan Rajbanshi gave away prizes.
