Bangladesh win 1st T20 against Zimbabwe by 4 wickets

DHAKA: Bangladesh overcame a marauding 68 off 31 balls by Malcolm Waller to knock Zimbabwe down by four wickets in their first Twenty20 on Friday.

Waller was the only one in either side to make batting look easy on the difficult pitch, but his effort couldn't dent Bangladesh's surge.

Riding Waller's 68, Zimbabwe compiled 131 before being bowled out in 19.3 overs.

Bangladesh won with 14 balls to spare, making 136-6.

Tamim Iqbal was the highest scorer for Bangladesh with 31, while Mahmudullah was 22 not out.

Legspinner Graeme Cremer took 3-29 for Zimbabwe.
