LALITPUR: Kanchanjunga International is organising the Corporate Beach Cricket at the Dalima Holiday Resort in Kurintar. A total of 28 teams will take part in the tournament over two weekends — March 18-19 and March 25-26, informed the organisers at a press meet on Tuesday. The winners of each weekend will fight for the championship. The tournament will be played under Super Sixes format with six players, including a female, in each team. Apart from the Corporate Beach Cricket, Kanchanjunga International has also planned to organise national open and inter-school tournaments in near future. "We want to make contribution to the sport that we love," said former cricketer Subash Pradhan, who has joined hands with former wicketkeeper Manoj Baishya. "Our main target is to bring corporate sector into cricket as we believe no sport can be developed without the support from private sector," he added.
