KATHMANDU: Greesh Bindra won the Surya Nepal Gokarna Monthly Medal here at the Gokarna Golf Club today.

Playing with 10-handicap, Bindra scored net 73 points, the same as Tendi Sherpa, who was playing with 17 handicap, but the former won this month's championship on a count back. Played on stroke play format with full handicap, Bindra scored 40 to that of Sherpa's 46 in the back nine. Kencho Ongdi finished as the second runner up with net score of 74 while Rekha Ghimire ended up one point behind Ongdi at fourth. In all, 23 golfers took part in the tournament organised by Gokarna Golf Club. Director of Gokarna Forest Resort Suman Sachdev gave away the prizes.
