Bindra wins KEGG Cup
KATHMANDU: Greesh Bindra accumulated 35 points to win the KEGG Cup golf tournament here at the Gokarna Golf Club on Saturday.
Played under the stable ford 7/8 handicap allowance format, Bindra scored 16 on the front nine and added 19 on the back to capture the trophy.
Tendi Sherpa came second on count back after he was tied at 34 points with Joseph Nathan. Sherpa scored 14 on the front and 20 on the back nine, while Nathan had 16 and 18 points respectively.
Nathan won the most birdies award with two birdies to his credit. Sanjeev Keshava, Managing Director of Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd, gave away prizes to the winners of the monthly tournament organised by Kathmandu Eager Golfers’ Group.
