KATHMANDU: Minister for Sports Purushottam Paudel on Thursday appointed Keshav Bista the Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC).

The Ministry has stated that the Minister appointed him to the post as per the National Sports Development Act, 1992.

Bista is the acting chairman of the Sepak Takraw Association. Similarly, Rajendra Shrestha and Samiullaha were appointed members of the Council.

Prior to this, Shakuntala Nagarkoti was serving as the officiating Member-Secretary at the Council after tenure of the then Member-Secretary Yubaraj Lama was over.

Nagarkoti was appointed just 10 days ago.
