Nepal Bowling Association (NBA) is organising a Bowl-O-Run event to celebrate the New Year 2061 on April 24, Saturday. According to Senon D Lama, president of NBA, the fun-filled event is being organised to promote bowling in Nepal. The event offers an open participation. “This is a fun event, and since it is such a sport that does not limit anyone regarding the age, we welcome everyone to participate — from a family to an individual,” said Lama. The event includes two programmes — for bowlers, there are three different venues, while for non-bowlers, it is two. The main objective behind making non-bowlers participate in the event is to encourage them as they are usually shy to start. The sponsors —Fun World, Bowling Boulevard and Shanshah Sports Complex — have targeted the participation of atleast 40 bowlers and 10 families. Starting from Fun World in Tahachal, participants will have to report to the second venue, at Bowling Boulevard in Kantipath and roll to the final venue at Shanshah Sports Complex in Dhapasi. Winners will recieve gift hampers.
